During the travel festival The Scent of Distant Lands: Japan in the Harfa Gallery in Prague, you will see my solo exhibition of photographs from Japan. The collection of ten photographs will be a selection of moments from several of my trips to Japan. It will be a personal visual journey across the Land of the Rising Sun, a space where unique natural beauty meets thoughtful simplicity of architecture and the ancient spirit of the landscape. I tried to capture the Japanese environment, life, details and atmosphere of places with an emphasis on minimalism and space for perception. As always, I focused on the images showing not only what can be seen, but above all what can be felt – slowness or speed, balance and the quiet magic of the present moment.

Fotovýstava Petr Borovička: Japonsko
Během cestovatelského festivalu Vůně dálek: Japonsko v pražské Galerii Harfa uvidíte mou doprovodnou sólovou výstavu fotografií z Japonska. Kolekce deseti fotografií bude výběrem momentů z několika mých cest do Japonska. Bude se jednat o osobní vizuální cestu napříč Zemi vycházejícího slunce, prostorem, kde se jedinečná přírodní krása setkává s promyšlenou jednoduchostí architektury a starobylým duchem krajiny. Snažil jsem se zachytit japonské prostředí, život, detaily a atmosféru míst s důrazem na minimalismus a prostor pro vnímání. Jako vždy jsem se zaměřil na to, aby snímky ukazovaly nejen to, co lze vidět, ale především to, co lze cítit – pomalost či rychlost, rovnováhu a tiché kouzlo přítomného okamžiku.
